1. Who We Are

Captain's Millionaires ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Captain's Millionaires Inc., located at 1365 Lemon Ave, Long Beach, CA 90813. We operate the website captainsmillionaires.net and the Captain's Millionaires member platform. Contact us at privacy@captainsmillionaires.net.

2. What Data We Collect

Account Data: Name, email address, password (hashed), profile information, and membership tier when you register.

Payment Data: Billing name, card last four digits, billing address, and transaction history. Full card numbers are never stored by us — they are processed directly by Stripe, Inc.

Usage Data: Course progress, lesson completions, coin balances, session timestamps, and feature interactions.

Communications: Messages you send us, support requests, and email preferences.

Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and cookies (see Section 8). At signup we derive an approximate location (city and region) from your IP address, via our hosting provider's request headers, to understand where our member communities are growing and to support community placement. We do not track your device's precise GPS location.

Analytics Data: Aggregated usage patterns collected via PostHog to improve the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Deliver and manage your membership and course access
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, course notifications) via Brevo
• Send marketing emails only with your explicit consent
• Analyze platform performance and improve features (PostHog analytics)
• Comply with legal obligations
• Enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Signing In With Google

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from your Google Account through Google's OAuth service, solely to create and authenticate your account. We request only the minimum scopes necessary (email,profile, and openid). Google's authentication is provided through our authentication provider, Supabase.

Captain's Millionaires' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties except as described in this policy.

5. Who We Share Data With

We share only the minimum data necessary with each provider. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

6. Payment Processing (Stripe)

All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, you are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in addition to ours. Stripe may collect and store your payment card details, billing address, and transaction history in accordance with PCI DSS standards. We receive only a token and limited card metadata (last four digits, expiration, card type).

7. Your Rights

All users:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time (unsubscribe link in every email)
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email privacy@captainsmillionaires.net.

EU/UK Residents (GDPR): Our lawful bases for processing are: (a) performance of a contract (your membership); (b) legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention); (c) consent (marketing emails). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any GDPR right, email privacy@captainsmillionaires.net. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies & Tracking

Essential cookies cannot be disabled as the platform requires them to function. Analytics cookies can be disabled by contacting us or adjusting your browser settings. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Data Retention

Active account data is retained for the life of your membership plus 90 days after cancellation. Payment records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance. Analytics data is retained for 24 months. You may request early deletion at any time (see Section 7).

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including: encrypted connections (TLS 1.3), Row Level Security on all database tables, hashed passwords, and access controls. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We notify affected users within 72 hours of discovering any data breach.

11. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately at privacy@captainsmillionaires.net.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via email and by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
